Tunas Bangsa Secondary school is a national school adapting international curriculum. This literally means that the students are prepared for both national (UN) and international examinations (Cambridge International Exams). However, learning in this school is not merely achieving good grades in exams. Students are also given time to develop and express themselves through arts, physical education, and communication technology as well as a wide range of extracurricular activities.
In year 7 and 8, students are introduced to fundamental concepts of IGCSE subjects such as social sciences, pure sciences, and Mathematics as well as basic skills and elements in English. While students in year 9 are more focused on the National examination.
Year 10 is the culmination of the lower secondary learning. The students will have to choose between social and science stream and will eventually take the IGCSE exams in May-June session. Students in this year will sit for 5 subjects in IGCSE exams.
Year 11 and 12 are the two year preparation for A level exams. Students are obliged to take 3 subjects for their A level examinations.
